Wing Stage in Kaohsiung
Today I want to share my memorable trip in Kaohsiung on July 23. The reason why I plan to go to Kaohsiung is that I had a first meeting with my net friend, and we met at Kaohsiung’s stadium, where WingStage (WS) was hold.
What is Wing Stage?
Wing Stage is an exhibition related to Japanese anime’s characters. Many cosplayers gather there every session, and tourists will chat and take photos with them, especially those who cosplay as the popular anime’s characters, such as Ania from SPY × FAMILY, Gojo Satoru from Jujutsu Kaisen, and so on.
Arrive at Kaohsiung Station
I got up at six o’clock, and took a train at six thirty approximately. Three hours later, I arrived at Kaohsiung train station. Then, I needed to take the MRT to Xiaogang, and this is my first time to take MRT. Fortunately, MRT in Kaohsiung, unlike in Taipei, only have two different routes. I have ever heard my classmates said that there are many entrances and exits in Taipei MRT so that it’s not easy to find the route you want to take. When I got on the car, I saw many cosplayers who also went to Xiaogang for WS. Before I saw that scene, I thought that all cosplayers will change their clothes in session. I realized many people are willing to share the things they are interested in with others, and I can find that they are filled with the passion and joy.
Meet My Net Friend in Wing Stage
While I arrived at stadium, I saw many tourists lining up to buy the tickets so that they can enter the exhibition, and there were also many cosplayers who stood outside taking photos with tourists. I decided to visit exhibition at first because my net friend was inside at that time. Inside the exhibition, there is a variety of stands selling merchandise and some sculptures of anime’s characters standing there.
Of course, I found merchandise of my favorite anime called Fate Grand Order first. Surprisingly, I could easily find the related merchandise everywhere. I thought that anime is not popular in Taiwan, and now it seems to be wrong. After walking around the exhibition, I bought two hang decorations. When I paid money to the vender, my net friend said “hi” to me. I was excited to meet her, and I found that she enjoyed wearing like a cosplayer.
Due to a big crowd of tourist there, we didn’t stay inside for long time. We went outside and took a walk around the session. She told me that she didn't cosplay as any anime's character, and the clothes she wore were designed by herself. I was amazed to hear that. We also shared our opinions about our social network and daily life with each other. Finally, we took a photo together to draw this little trip to a perfect end.
Conclusion
This is my first time to meet my net friend, and it has become wonderful memories in my mind. I look forward to meet her next time !
