Sherlock Holmes

Recently, I have started to watch an English movie, called Sherlock. In fact, I am a fan of Sherlock Holmes, a character is written by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. I heard this movie from net friend and I have free time to watch it this week. I recalled some memories about the plots in original work when watching the movie.
Today, I want to share two of my favorite characters in this movie. Without a doubt, the answer are Sherlock Holmes and John Watson.
The main character is Sherlock Holmes. Sherlock Holmes is a consulting detective and his job is to help people solve the cases and uncover the puzzles. The manner of his deduction is established by the rational theory which is constituted on the observation. He has ever mentioned that general people always ignore the insignificant thing that could be the important key to uncover the truth and the reason why the people ignore the clue is because they just see the surface but never observe and think.
The image of Sherlock gives me a sense that he is an incomprehensible genius, but sometimes he is regard as a ridiculous man by others. That is because seldom people can reach his extraordinary reasoning skills and observation skills. Even though the evidence is complete to prove his deduction, practically no one makes sense how he can make it. I agree with the saying that most of genius is lonely somehow.

Then, his sidekick, John Watson is a medical officer who has retired from Afghanistan. They work together and solve several mystery cases.
I consider that John is Sherlock’s only bosom friend. John is a practical and fortitude man. He will take the action without hesitation if he thinks something is in the wrong direction, or even causes danger. Because of this, he rescues Sherlock from the perilous situation many times. Besides, he is the most important person to change Sherlock’s mind.
Watson often blames Sherlock for ignoring others’ feelings, and he reminds Sherlock anytime despite the fact that he is unwilling to focus on this. I think other people won’t do this because they think it’s not a useful way to change him. Sherlock initially considered that Watson didn’t understand him, but he finally realizes that Watson takes care of him every time and knows the importance of a friend.
Sherlock reckons that emotion will influence the efficiency of his work. He seldom expresses his emotion when focusing on his work, just as Watson satirizes that he is a computer in original work “ The Sign of the Four ”.
However, I can find that he will hesitate when the choice he chooses is related to one’s life, especially Watson. The choice challenges Sherlock that he decides to either find out the truth by fair means or foul or make sure the one’s safety in the first place, and I think that most of time he can’t absolutely protect the client from any uncertain danger. Sherlock has ever thought that he has no heart, but actually he feels frustrated and depressed when his decision will lead to one’s death.
During most of adventure, Watson accompanied with Sherlock. I want to say that whatever puzzles he can unfold, the most important one is the development of his personality from the adventure with Watson.
If Watson weren’t there, we can’t see this Sherlock today. By the way, they are my favorite couple, and my net friends even claim that they need to marry each other. Of course, they will make it come true, just kidding? No, I'm serious to think about it :)
